I’ve decided to take on a pretty terrifying challenge (an Olympic triathlon) and fight cancer at the same time. With Team in Training, I’ll be sweating for a good cause! Check out my pretty Fundly page over here.
Nothing for nothing these days, I hear you say? Fortunately, I’ve an answer to that.
Office Hours available for donors!
That’s right. I’m offering quality 1:1 time via Google Hangout – I’d like to talk about your product, and work with you to figure out answers to any problems you have at the moment. I can offer an unbiased analysis to help you see new directions or come unstuck.
To qualify for the “free” 1:1 office hours:
- Pull up my calendar here.
- Reserve a timeslot, and pop over to http://bit.ly/donate-jennie to donate at least $50 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (Need a reason why? Here’s one, and here’s another.)
- I’ll contact you in advance of the slot to frame our discussion, and off we’ll go!
I’ll keep adding slots as they fill up, so check back if you don’t see any straight away. My goal is to raise at least $2000 for this amazing charity, and that’s a lot of 1:1s!
Other topics that we could talk about in Office Hours: customer development, user interviewing, product storytelling, professional blogging, entrepreneurship, productivity, paleo diet and crossfit, habit formation, dog training, interviewing and recruiting, women in engineering, learning to code, building a website, lean startup, videogames and game development, moving to Silicon Valley.
I really, really appreciate your donation and promise you will squeeze every last drop of value out of our conversation.
Who are you?
Jennie is a product manager at Google, and a former secret weapon. She deals with designing and launching big products at scale and is an experienced product interviewer. She is also the lead for the Silicon Valley Women Who Code group and fundraising for her first triathlon with Team in Training. A technical founder before coming to Silicon Valley, Jennie specialises in natural language processing in Python but has dabbled in pretty much every ‘sexy’ technology in recent years, from Node.js to iOS development.
She currently works on the Android team at Google and is learning Java and brushing up her rusty game development skills. In a past life, Jennie was a professional blogger for Joystiq and led WoW.com in its early growth, moonlighting as a sponsored FPS gamer with the PMS Clan. She also completed half of a PhD in sentiment analysis before deciding startups were more fun. Her hobbies include Crossfit and typing a lot on the Internet. She also teaches classes on product development at Skillshare, Udemy and General Assembly.
